With the update 5 of Anime Defenders, players got a lot of new content and one addition was the Portal Hardener. Players can now use a Portal Hardener to craft a Hardened Portal of any Portal variation. This will guarantee a 100% drop chance of the same Portal type. Here’s how you can get and use it in the game.
How to Get Portal Hardener in Anime Defenders
You can get a Portal Hardener through the Athenyx Challenges or Athenyx Battlepass. The Athenyx’s Realm area is unlocked at level 30 and the better option is to keep playing and level up the Battlepass, which has a confirmed way of getting you Portal Hardeners.
The Athenyx Battlepass has 25 levels of rewards which includes Tokens, Tethers, Wave Jumpers, Limit Breakers, and Portal Hardeners. If you don’t want to spend Robux on the premium Battlepass, you can still earn a few Portal Hardeners from the free version. However, if you have extra Robux, you can purchase the premium version for 699 R$.
On Level 8 of the BP, you can get 8 Portal Hardeners from the free version, and 15 from the premium version. And, on Level 19, you can obtain 10 of them from the free version and 20 from the premium version.
What do Hardened Portals do?
It gives the same portal you just used, so that you get a second opportunity of the same rarity, in case the previous attempt wasn’t successful. You only get a higher drop if you’re the host of the portal and players can use it on Mythic portals to get it back in case they don’t get the Secret portal.
