PlayStation State of Play Sends A Clear Message That Sony Intends To Dominate 2020

Sony’s State of Play always brings surprises and though it felt like the end of 2019 would be calm, Sony decided to up the ante with a ton of announcements. It is clear in their intent that shows that even though they are currently working on developing the PlayStation 5, they haven’t given up on the PlayStation 4 which has made them win the console wars.

We begin the State of Play coverage with the Untitled Goose Game, though it was confirmed that the game would be released for the PS4, no one expected it to come out in 2019, as 2020 seemed more likely.

But just as surprising the game is, the announcement that the Untitled Goose Game is releasing on December 17, 2019.

But as good as this might seem to be, it just proved to be the appetizer for the upcoming announcements as this announcement catalyzed the rest of the games on this list.

The biggest announcement went to Resident Evil 3 Remake, we saw the impact that Resident Evil 2 Remake had on the players of the current generation console and Resident Evil 3 Remake will take on its predecessor and further the storyline of Racoon City.

Resident Evil 3 Remake is releasing on the PlayStation 4 on April 3, 2020. This only adds to the blockbuster games scheduled to release next year.

Kingdom Hearts III is also getting a DLC Expansion which will be coming out on January 23, 2020. It will feature a few new characters and you will again be in the center of this magical adventure.

Spellbreak is an innovative Battle Royale Game which takes role-playing and magical combat into account to deliver an experience we haven’t seen before on this scale.

This more likely looks like it will steal a lot of attention. Spellbreak is releasing for a closed beta in the spring of 2020 with the release dare yet unknown.

Dreams like a beautiful well co-ordinated which will please you aesthetically and still challenge you with its gameplay.

It’s not an AAA title but there are so many elements that you will have almost everything you’ll want in a single game. Dreams is releasing on the 14th of February 2020 which is sooner than expected.

And last but not the least, one of the most brutal and insane looking games which has a movie franchise behind it is coming to the PlayStation 4. Predator: Hunting Grounds is set to unleash April 24, 2020, on PlayStation 4 and PC through Epic Game Store.

Take the role of the hunter and become the predator itself, taking on humans or you can take the role as Human and become the hunter from the hunted. There are tons of mode and over 80 skins for the predator which have been inspired by the movies.

Predator: Hunting Grounds looks amazing but we do not want to base our expectation from this trailer and will wait until the release of the game.

Not just these but a ton of VR games are also on the cards with

Paper Beast, a sandbox VR game that will have you exploring strange beasts, it is a new take on an alien planet and your task will be to take responsibility for these new creatures and interact with them.

Another VR entry is Superliminal, and this mind-boggling game will have you manipulating the size of things and progress in that manner. Superliminal is certainly going to puzzle a ton of people and looks like it will enhance with the VR experience.

Sony just made their point that 2020 is going to be a huge affair that will be capped off with the release of the PlayStation 5. There is still tons left to announce and we will have more for you during The Game Awards 2019.
