How to Play Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Demo
You can play the MHR Sunbreak Demo on your Switch or PC if you have the base game. Other than owning the game there are two things you need to do:
- Complete the Hub 7 Star Quest: Serpent Goddess of Thunder
- Have the required amount of space on your system.

How to Play Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Demo on Nintendo Switch
Make sure you have at least 3.2 GB of space available on your Nintendo Switch or its microSD. After freeing up the space:
- Open the Nintendo eShop on your Switch.
- Login to your Nintendo Account. If you have multiple accounts then log in from the one you have purchased Monster Hunter Rise from.
- Next, click on the Search/Browse option here and search Monster Hunter Rise.
- Now, click on the game. It should be the first option.
- Here, click on the Download Demo option below Purchased.
- You will get two options here, pick the second option to install the demo.
Wait for the download to complete and you can start playing it on your Nintendo Switch.
How to Get the Demo on PC
For PC you need a minimum of 10GB of free space on your system to try out this demo. And you also need to have the Steam Client installed on your PC.
- Launch Steam
- Here, search for Monster Hunter Rise
- Finally, download and install the demo.
The Demo is available from 14th June 2022. You can get the actual DLC expansion on 30th June 2022.
