In Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed, you can play as a Ghost to scare NPCs, haunt rooms, and eventually haunt the building. And while it might sound difficult, the entire process is fun. The best part is you can do many things to haunt the building to win. So here are all the tips for you to play as a Ghost in Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed.
How to Play as Ghost in Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed
When playing as a Ghost your goal is to haunt the building completely, without getting caught by the Ghostbusters. While it is easy to haunt objects, not letting the Ghostbusters catch you is the tricky part. Here is what you should do to effectively play as a ghost:
- Keep changing rooms while haunting: Haunting things is the way you can haunt an entire room. And the more you haunt an individual room the faster you haunt the building. But the catch here is you shouldn’t focus on one room the entire time. This is because it will attract the ghostbusters to that room faster. So in order to not face this issue you simply have to go around haunting multiple rooms.
- The best way to do this keep an eye on the haunt meter. The one on the top left shows you the haunted percentage for a particular room. While the one at the center shows you the haunted percentage of the entire building. Keep switching rooms and check how much a certain room is left to haunt from time to time.
- Stand still while recharging: Possessing objects recharges your energy which you can then use to haunt more objects. And while you are possessing an object, you can even move around using it. So if you need energy quicker and don’t find any ghostbusters nearby, then possess and wait. This will fill up your energy a lot quicker than when you move around.
- Try possessing smaller objects: Smaller objects like cardboard boxes are a good way to sneak around. Especially if you keep moving and stop at spots that are least suspicious. This is a bit like playing Metal Gear Solid.
- Keep changing floors: The P.K.E meter gives the Ghostbusters an approximate location of you and is not accurate. So while they might be at the right position as per the meter, it doesn’t tell them which floor the position is referring to. So switching floors frequently can make it a pain for them to track you.
- Protect your Rifts: Rifts are the most important things for you as a ghost. They serve two main purposes. The first is, they let you respawn if you get captured by the ghostbusters. And the second is, they cut down on the time you need for surviving the Ghostbusters after haunting the building completely.
- So whenever you find Ghostbusters destroying your Rifts, you should leave other things and protect them first. You can always haunt objects and NPCs later. But once you lose a rift, you also lose one respawn. So you will have to survive longer after haunting the building. Each Rift that you have left reduces your survival time by 25 seconds. So if you protect all 3 rifts, you only have to survive for 15 seconds from the Ghostbusters.
- Use your Ultimate before being spotted by the Ghostbusters: Depending on your ghost and its ultimate use, protecting your rifts can be easier. But the only problem is, if the Ghostbusters catch you while you are casting your ultimate, they can cancel it. So not only do you have to wait for the cooldown to end, but you will also have a hard time protecting your rift from their attacks.
- Scare NPCs: Scaring NPCs is a good way to distract the Ghostbusters or keep them busy. Not only does it fill up the haunt meter but can also stall the Ghostbusters while they calm them. This can be useful for you to change the position of your Rifts.
- But while scaring NPCs is helpful it is also kind of tedious and energy-consuming. So you should not give it as much priority as haunting objects. Only scare them if it is easy. Because the ghostbusters can give them a shield beforehand by talking to them. Thus scaring such an NPC isn’t exactly worth it.
