MLB The Show 22 is best played with friends and if you’re all hardcore baseball fans, online co-op or versus modes are going to be extra fun. In this guide, we will take you through the steps for inviting and playing MLB The Show 22 with friends, so let’s get right into it.

MLB The Show 22 Online Coop – How to Play with Friends?

If your friends have MLB The Show 22 but on different platforms, you will have to enable crossplay first.

How to Invite Friends in MLB 22

  • Go to My Profile tab by clicking on your profile picture (top left).
  • On the right side, you will see the cross play option which you need to turn on if it’s disabled.
  • Next, go to the left side which has the Friends option. Now go ahead and send a friend request to your buddies via the Request tab. Choose Search by Name and enter Username. Make sure to enter their name that your friend is using on MLB The Show accurately.
  • After successfully adding them, find them in your friends list and then invite to a game. They will accept via their notifications and then everyone can play together.

How to Play Against Friends in MLB 22

  • Open up Diamond Dynasty under Game Modes and select Play.
  • Switch to Online modes.
  • And then select Play VS friends.
  • You should see your Friend list here.
  • Click on a specific Friend’s username and once they accept the request, they will join the game to play against you.

Other Game Modes

For any game mode that has the option to play with friends, all you have to do is select the mode and hit the option to Play Online. You will be then taken to the next few options you need to select in order to play with a friend. For example, the online co-op mode will require you to select whether you wish to play 2v2 or 3v3. Next, click on the + sign and add a teammate.
