Payday 3 DLC Allows Friends to Play Missions Without Owning It
Similar to Payday 2, only the host is required to own the DLC to play missions for the entire team in Payday 3 as confirmed by the recent dev update. You can play these DLC Missions only with your friends rather than with other randoms in your group. So, ensure that whoever owns the Syntax Error heist is in your group or team.
The Starbreeze Entertainment’s Community Manager, Elisabeth confirmed you can play the heist missions without owning them yourselves. Furthermore, she added, “If you don’t own the DLC heist but your friend does, you will be able to join your friend via invite or by joining their game directly“.
In addition to this fantastic news, the most recent update adds three new weapons, masks, gloves, and a new enemy. It also adds the Syntax Error heist which picks up from where events of Touch the Sky. This mission involved stealing an encrypted hard drive from someone by breaking into their penthouse.
