Planet Zoo’s South Asia Animal Pack was recently released and it features a ton of new exotic animals, the likes of which you might have never seen before, and even if you have there’s still so much to learn from this interactive experience that you wouldn’t want to walk away from it.
You have the task of operating a successful zoo on your hands and while it is easier said than done, the game allows you to design a place that is so unique and out of this world that your creativity can blossom out of this.
Overview
Right off the bat, you’re tasked with the completion of an unfinished zoo and while it may seem easy, you will need to learn how to manage your budget, bring in all the exotic animals, have people there on standby that can take care of them and then when you’re finally done with everything, having the place open for visitors.
Animals like the Sun Bears, Clouded Leopards, Proboscis Monkey, Malayan Tapir, North Sulawesi Babirusa, Binturong, Ussuri Dhole, and the Giant Malaysian Leaf Insect are the main focus of this new DLC. While it may seem like they’re just additions to the game, you’re soon thrown into their livelihoods, and taking care of their primary needs will become your priority.
Each animal needs a certain kind of environment and while the basics may seem enough, something inside of you will want to deliver the most that you can. Along with this, you will have to make sure that the visitors get to have as much exposure to these animals as possible.
This includes 24×7 monitoring over them as well as on-site vets that will help to solve any problems that arise. Having this set of new animals will involve a bit of redesign to your zoo, but the added benefit to this is that you will have a great contrasting visual as you can create beautiful themes throughout your zoo.
Verdict
Creating a place for them to explore as well as excel is a challenge and while it surely takes some getting used to, it is something that you should not miss out on.
One thing that snuck up on me was the ability to design a national reserve for animals. This allows you to build a natural habitat for your animals and then have visitors stay protected in a caged vehicle while observing them. Creating a place that is devoid of the infrastructure and just filled to the brim with things that allow the animals to prosper feels heavenly.
Watching these animals interact with each other, learning about them, and just keeping an eye on their wellbeing is a huge task and for those that aren’t initiated in this process, the game gives you a calming experience with beautiful background music that accompanies whatever you do.
The possibilities are endless with Planet Zoo and the South Asian Animal Pack surely highlights it, we cannot wait to see what the future holds and how crazy can we go with our builds in the game. Each new process or step of the game will give you a new outlook and will keep your curiosity in check.
If you’re just a casual gamer that is in dire need of something that is totally different from the clutter of chaos that is out there, I strongly recommend checking out Planet Zoo and downloading the South Asia animal pack at the soonest.
