With the raging success of Phasmophobia on PC, players have been wondering when they will get to experience this horror game on Xbox and PS5. Since PC players have been taking advantage of all the features this game offers since 2020, Phasmophobia fans have been disappointed time and again due to the release date for consoles being pushed back continuously.
However, Kinetic Games addressed the difficulties and the reason behind this delay and you can find all the details in this guide. Here is everything you need to know if you need more information about this game being available on different platforms.
When is Phasmophobia Releasing on PS5 and Xbox Consoles?
Unfortunately, the developers have not announced a release date yet. Initially, the game was set to be released on these platforms in August 2023, however, due to a sudden “fire incident” that took place at their UK office, it was pushed back to October 2023.
On the 17th of October, the developers posted a ‘Console Update’ announcement on Steam and addressed all the fans about the current challenges they have been facing. They mentioned that they are still trying to get used to the new remote work setting and are in the process of setting up a new office.
Apart from this, they also spent extra time and effort while preparing for the PlayStation VR2 launch. Considering, these two reasons were the main factors why we have not received the game on consoles, all fans were deeply disappointed.
They also mentioned that they will be working towards releasing new information about the release date and other details. Although this meant that the release date had been postponed once again, we might most likely get Phasmophobia in the early months of 2024. However, this is just a prediction, because since the announcement on Steam, Kinetic Games has not said anything about this release.
