Pet gifting is one of the best ways to exchange pets based on your requirement or simply earn extra Sheckles by selling them; however, at the time of writing, this ‘trading’ feature is disabled and players are wondering why. Here’s what you need to know about this.
Why is Pet Gifting Disabled in Grow a Garden?
As per the developers on Discord, the pet gifting feature is temporarily disabled while they fix an exploit that duplicated a pet upon sending it to another player. It goes against the game’s core mechanics, which is why the developers are working toward fixing it.
While there were no specifics mentioned in the Discord message, as per Reddit discussions, people were using third-party scripts to dupe pets, which led to many players receiving duplicated pets. Currently, it appears that the developers are trying to get the duped pets out of the game, so if you lose a few pets from your inventory after being gifted those, you know why. If you only have pets that are hatched from eggs, you should see no difference.
Like most Roblox games, using third-party software for exploits is not allowed in Grow a Garden and can lead to a permanent ban from the platform. So, it’s best to stick to the actual gameplay mechanics and boost your garden that way.
When will it be back?
It is unclear when the feature will be back because the devs have not mentioned a timeline. So, if you have borrowed a pet from a friend for its abilities, you won’t be able to give it back for a bit. But when it is back up, there will be a Discord message mentioning the fix, so make sure to join their official server to get the real-time updates.
