Swedish video game developer Starbreeze has announced the latest installment to the Payday series, Payday 3. Following the roots of a high-octane, first-person co-op shooter genre of its predecessors, here’s what we know about the game till now. Let’s look into platforms, release date, and gameplay elements below.

Payday 3 Release Date Announced

Starbreeze Studios is presently working on Payday 3, with a release date in 2023 and published by Koch Media. This will be a high-octane, first-person co-op shooter and the main highlight of the game will be Coop Multiplayer mode. Players will live out their fantasy of joining the famed PAYDAY gang and mastering the art of heisting. Set in a Hollywood-style environment, Payday 3 will be completely made in Unreal Engine 4 compared to its prequel which was made on Diesel Engine 2. Also according to a source, microtransactions are being phased out as Starbreeze purchases Payday rights for $30 million.

Payday 3

As per Tobias Sjögren, Acting CEO of Starbreeze, “We are excited to announce this exclusive long-term PAYDAY 3 co-publishing deal with Koch Media. In addition to securing the continued development, this deal secures global publishing of PAYDAY 3 as well as the marketing efforts through the entire game life cycle. We now have a strong foundation for a successful launch of PAYDAY 3”.

Heists include bank robberies, drug trafficking runs, election tampering, and snatching smuggled nuclear weapons. As a world-class professional criminal, players will be able to carry out a variety of ‘heists’ in different ways. Players may do them on their own, with the AI, or as part of coop gameplay with other players. Some heists place a high value on stealth, typically resulting in increased experience points and money upon completion.

That’s everything you need to know about Payday 3. Once more info and gameplay are revealed we will be publishing more about it right here. So for the more new exciting game reveals and News, stay with GamerTweak.
