PAX West 2020 Still Happening, Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

In the midst of the cancellation of many upcoming events due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), for example the cancellation of Gamescom 2020, there is a lot of uncertainty about many events taking place this year. Because of this, there are many players who are concerned about PAX West 2020, one of the most important events in the United States, and organizers talked about it today to respond to inquiries about a possible cancellation.

Through its official website, the organizer of the event, Penny Arcade, stated that plans to carry out PAX West 2020 will continue with the scheduled date, which is slated for the weekend of September 4-7 in the United States of America.

Because of all this troublesome period, Penny Arcade has also mentioned that the organizers will continue to monitor the situation in this pandemic and will follow every protocol to the prevention measures issued by health agencies.

“We tend to be pretty quiet this time of year, but since we’ve had some questions from fans and exhibitors we wanted to let everyone know that as of this moment, we’re still planning on putting together a great PAX West this coming Labor Day Weekend (September 4th – 7th) for you, and we will be updating our website with more information on badges and hotel registration in the coming months.”

Our first priority is always your safety, and that extends to issues of public health. As the year progresses, we will continue to monitor the situation and work with health officials at all levels of government, and intend to follow all CDC and WHO guidelines as they are released. That said, actions already taken by our convention center and local government have left us optimistic, and we will continue working with them to make sure we take the correct steps throughout the summer,” the event organizers said.
