Apart from this, there are no official options to pause the game just like many other modern online-based games. You cannot use the settings menu to pause the. This is due to the online elements the game is based around.
It would have been really nice to have the pause option in single-player at least. Many new-age games like Elden Ring and many more are moving away from this. So we don’t think Blizzard will add a ‘pause button’ to the game. Meanwhile, if you want to take a break, your only option is to complete the session you are playing. You can also use a waypoint (like in other Diablo games) to travel back to town or a safe zone. So as no pause option is available, our only way is to force close and freeze the server connection.
