How Pokemon Party Codes work
As the name suggests, party codes are used in Pokemon GO to let you invite your friends or other random trainers to your party after you share the code with them, or if you find a code online, it lets you join some strangers. Here is how you can create your own party code or join someone.
Creating Your Own Party
- Open Pokemon GO on your phone and tap on your Avatar. It is in the bottom left corner.
- Next, tap on the Party tab.
- Here, tap on the Create button.
- You will now get a QR code and a 9-digit number which you can directly copy.
- Share the code with nearby players and accept when they join. Do remember they need to be in your vicinity to be able to join.
- Once ready tap the start button.
Joining a Party
The initial steps are the same as when you create a party, that is tap on your avatar and go to the Party tab.
- Tap on the Join button.
- By default, the game will be on a QR code screen. If you are near the host you can directly scan it.
- Alternatively, tap on the Party Codes tab and enter the below codes.
- Tap on the Join Party button.
Now, you will have to wait for the host to start.
