The answer can be either Yes or No. Because as of now we have not received any kind of confirmation from Amazon Games stating that this addon is not considered modding. But according to Amazon Games restrictions as quoted by u/LymeM “…or mods that are not expressly permitted by us in an applicable policy posted on our website” “or use other software or services that give you an unfair advantage”. Then Reddit user u/morbrid commented “I will definitely look into this and try to get some more clarification. It does seem a bit of a grey area – because the information is available on a website already, it may be argued that it isn’t unfair. Otherwise, if it is deemed unfair then that website might be against ToS as well.”
Also on the bright side, u/morbrid also replied to another comment that “Thanks! The minimap runs on Overwolf, and it’s the only process that runs. I believe Overwolf is whitelisted on the anti-cheat so I’d say it’s unlikely to get you banned. I understand minimaps are a bit of grey area at the moment so if AGS does issue a statement saying they’re not allowed I’ll remove the app or tweak it so it meets their TOS, rather than risk users getting banned.” So as per u/morbrid Overwolf is anti-cheat whitelisted, then there should not be any problems for players. But to be safe side, we suggest you wait till further confirmation on this topic from Amazon Games. We don’t want anyone to get any kind of ban (not later in the future for this), so please use this addon in caution, or kindly wait till we hear “okay” the devs.
