NVIDIA released a new GeForce Game Ready Driver today for Atomic Heart with NVIDIA DLSS 3 and THE FINALS closed beta kicking off on March 7. This new driver also introduces support for RTX Video Super Resolution (VSR), which uses AI to improve the quality of any video streamed through Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers on GeForce RTX 30 and 40 Series GPUs.
Game Ready for Atomic Heart with NVIDIA DLSS 3
When Atomic Heart launched on February 21st, GeForce RTX gamers had class-leading performance, with the game’s support for NVIDIA DLSS 3, NVIDIA DLSS 2, and NVIDIA Reflex.
With DLSS 3 enabled, 4K performance with a GeForce RTX 4090 is boosted by 90% to 184 FPS, and with a GeForce RTX 4080 it’s increased by 80% to 146 FPS. With a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti at 1440p, DLSS 3 increases performance by 62%, running at max settings at over 160 FPS. And DLSS 3 can also help boost performance in CPU-bound scenarios.
Game Ready for THE FINALS closed beta!
Embark Studios’ THE FINALS is an upcoming free-to-play shooter set in a highly destructive world, making each match unique. The highly-anticipated game is also loaded with NVIDIA technologies including:
- NVIDIA Reflex – Enabled with a single click in the options menu, Reflex reduces system latency by up to 55%, making gameplay even more responsive, and enabling actions to occur faster in-game. In competitive shooters such as THE FINALS, Reflex gives gamers a competitive edge that may make the difference between winning and not winning.
- NVIDIA DLSS – RTX gamers can maximize performance by enabling the AI-powered NVIDIA DLSS.technoloogy.
- NVIDIA RTXGI is used to accurately calculate light and shadow as buildings are blown open, and walls come crashing down. RTXGI uses hardware-accelerated ray tracing to produce richer and more realistic global illumination on the fly. Gamers can enable RTXGI’s Dynamic mode to experience light realistically bouncing around the environment, reacting to destruction, and interact with volumetric fog and smoke.
On March 7th, a new two-week closed beta begins, giving gamers a chance to sample THE FINALS before its launch later this year.
NVIDIA RTX Video Super Resolution Out Now
RTX Video Super Resolution is an AI image processing upscaler that allows GeForce owners to watch upscaled video on 1440p or 4K displays with AI-enhanced sharpness. GeForce RTX 30 and 40 Series GPUs will process lower-resolution videos played on your Chrome or Edge browsers to enhance the quality of video.
Combining the power of NVIDIA Tensor Cores with state-of-the-art AI image processing techniques, RTX VSR intelligently sharpens and enhances features and edges while removing distracting compression artifacts. RTX VSR will work on most video played in a browser, whether it’s a favorite streamer on Twitch or YouTube, or content from streaming apps such as Netflix, Disney+, or Hulu.
