Age Of Empires 4 No Sound & Audio Not Working Issue Fix

First and foremost, check your volume settings via the Volume mixer. Right-click on the speaker symbol on your PC and open up Volume Mixer. If the volume for Age of Empires IV is turned down, turn it up and check if the audio randomly stops working.

Restart AoE IV

If it’s a one-off glitch that has come up while playing for a long time, a fresh restart of the game should ideally work.

  • Open Graphics Settings and click on Browse.
  • In the explorer window, paste the copied file pathway (using CTRL + V) into the file pathway field.
  • Click on the game’s executable application (.exe file).

Download the latest Audio Drivers

Depending on your audio requirements, you can download the newest versions of the drivers for Dell, Asus, HP, Realtek etc from the official websites.

Install or Update your DirectX drivers
