Nier Replicant: How To Get Complex Machine

Published Date :

A Complex Machine is one of the most popular upgrade materials in Nier Replicant. In order to modify your gear to its maximum you will need to devote a lot of time to farming these items. These upgrades aren’t needed for surviving, but they’ll almost certainly make the later boss fights less tedious.

How to Get Complex Machine in Nier Replicant?

In Nier Replicant, you’ll need to farm Giant Shades in order to get a Complex Machine. These are the larger types of Shades that can be farmed on the Southern Plains, and they only come out of the shade once in a while.

How to Get Complex Machine in Nier Replicant

As a rare drop, this is part of a sequence along with the common Simple Machine and rare Elaborate Machine. This can be found in places including the Barren Temple, the Lost Shrine if you return just before the final fights, and the Southern Plains near the Seafront area.

Use the guidelines in the Barren Temple to destroy only the bigger foes than drop them. Then reset the room by doing whatever the prohibited move is in that room, respawning the opponent. The safest space for this is one that prohibits the use of spells. Alternatively, head to the Lost Shrine, where you’ll be ambushed by two of these enemies. Exiting and re-entering the game results in a restart. Finally, you can speak to the Fortune Teller lady to revisit the prologue if you complete the quest A Magical Stone, which is only available at the very end of the game after gathering all five fragments but before going to the final battle. All three machines will farm the enemies in this area.

That’s all about how to get Complex Machine in Nier Replicant. While you are here make sure to check out more guides like how to get the Shark, Rice, and Mushroom to complete the Bon Appetit quest in Nier Replicant.
