EA has revealed that Need for Speed Heat will finally receive crossplay today, allowing PC, PS4 and Xbox One players to play together, and it is the first EA game to do so.
Crossplay is one of the most requested features by players, because it eliminates the barriers between platforms and allows you to have a good time with your friends regardless on what gaming console you are playing.
This is why many will be glad to know that Electronic Arts has already implemented this feature and Need for Speed Heat will soon become their first game with crossplay.
In its statements released recently, Electronic Arts confirmed that a new update for Need for Speed Heat will arrive on June 9, today. With it, the racing game will become the first in its catalog to have cross-platform gaming.
According to EA, the Need for Speed Heat crossplay will be available on all platforms where it can be enjoyed. That is, you can take advantage of this feature with your friends regardless of whether you play it on PC, PlayStation 4, or Xbox One.
After you have installed the update you can choose to participate in races with players on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. You can search for your friends who are playing on any of the previous platforms, as long as they have selected cross-play, within the Find Players menu. Then go to the new EA Friends tab in the Party Menu to see who’s online to play.
It is also important to note that the June 9 update will be the last update for Need for Speed Heat.
