Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak (MHR) – How to Find a Monksnail in the Frost Islands
You can find the Monksnail in the Frost Islands. You will need to head out on an HR (High Rank) expedition during nighttime in the game. This is because the Monksnail only appears during nighttime. Once you get there, you must go to Area 8. Now using a wire bug, get on top of the ship. Once there, go up on the cabin roof to get a better view.
You must look out over the water. Most report that facing the Northeast is best. Here, if you’re lucky, you will be able to spot the Monksnail as it slowly moves across the sea. This may take some time to work as the snail doesn’t appear often. And so, you may have to wait for around ten minutes before you are able to actually see the snail go by. Don’t forget to take your camera from the hotbar so as to get a photo for Flur.
Keep in mind that there is a high chance that you will not get to see the Monksnail on your first try. And so, you may have to do this expedition a few times before you get to see the snail. Go on and get your reward for this quest which is brand new Monksnail headgear once completed.
