Mass Effect has tons of dialogue choices that have little to no impact on the main storyline of the game. Spare or Kill Rachni Queen
You will be meeting the Rachni Queen in one of the missions in Mass Effect 1 Legendary Edition. In the cutscene, you will see the commander will have two choices. He can either spare the Rachni Queen and let the big bug go, or he can choose to end her race. The end for both has some twist. Here are the dialogue for good and band Mass Effect 1 Legendary Edition endings.
Kill the Rachni Queen:
- I don’t understand you.
- Rachni are extinct.
- What’s wrong with them?
- If you’re certain.
- You die here by my hand.
- Shut up and die.
While talking to the council you will release that they are not happy with the genocide. Also, they won’t be happy with the way commander addresses the members of the council.
Spare the Rachni Queen:
- I don’t understand you.
- Rachni are extinct.
- What’s wrong with them?
- If you’re certain.
- I won’t kill you.
With these choices, the commander will free the Ranchi Queen. She will leave the station but in the end, thinking the commander. Later you will have to report to the higher council. They are not happy with the decision. There will be some differences in the thought but it won’t impact any upcoming further missions. Only the Ranchi Queen will be thankful for this decision. While the council on the other side will be angry about this call and will warn the commander.
In both cases, you will be reporting to the Council in the end. If you pick to spare Ranchi they will be angry about why you left her alive. If you choose to end her race, the council will be unhappy about the genocide.
