Magic is important in Lords of the Fallen, allowing players access to powerful spells and abilities. However, navigating the different magic schools and how spells function can initially seem complex. This guide will break down the basics of Lords of the Fallen Magic Schools.
All Magic Schools in Lords of the Fallen
In Lords of the Fallen, magic is divided into three distinct schools: Rhogar, Radiance, and Umbral. Each school focuses on a different type of magic and uniquely connects to your character’s stats. Mastering the magic from all three schools will give you a serious advantage over your foes.
Rhogar (Inferno)
Rhogar magic is associated with the Adyr. It revolves around fire-based abilities and destruction. Pyromancers use an Inferno Catalyst to summon flames, fireballs, and even flaming dogs to aid in battle. To access these spells, you must invest points into their Inferno stat.
Radiance
Radiance magic represents the powers of Orius. Healers and protectors fall under this school. With a Radiance Catalyst, you can cast healing spells on allies or yourself and buffs like temporary shields. Lightning attacks are also available. Radiance relies on growing one’s Radiance stat.
Umbral
The final school is Umbral magic, which draws upon the magics of the dead in the Umbral Realm. Necromancers use Umbral Catalysts to unleash explosive projectiles and imbue weapons with extra elemental damage. Being neither fully holy nor unholy, Umbral allows access to Inferno and Radiance abilities.
You can join any school and blend magic types by meeting the stat requirements. The types of enemies encountered may also influence your choice, as some are weak to fire while others resist lightning.
