To summon Lhutel the Headless Spirit in Elden Ring, you must head to the Tombsward Catacombs. Before you do so, you need to first defeat the Cemetery Shade Boss. This boss has a dark and formless appearance, and you will find him in Tombsward Catacombs.

To get to Tombsward Catacombs, you need to go to Limgrave. From here, head south. You should find a minor tree once you do so. Head north from here to arrive at the entrance of the catacombs. You will find this entrance on the side of a cliff.

Upon entering the cliff, you will find a Site of Grace. You can use this place to rest before you make your way further into the dungeon.

Once in the dungeon, you will find that most things here are rather simple. Your path here is relatively uncomplicated. In this dungeon, you need to look for a lever that will open the door near the entrance to the Catacombs. On the way to this lever, you will encounter some skeletons. Fight them off to keep proceeding. Upon unlocking the door, you will be able to come face-to-face with the Cemetery Shade.

This boss in Elden Ring tends to focus on delivering rapid melee strikes. Additionally, he also uses the ability to disappear and reappear at will to his advantage. To battle him and come out victorious, we recommend you use a Spirit Summon.

Successfully defeating the Cemetery Shade will see you receive the Ashes for Lhutel the Headless as a reward. With it, you will be able to summon the Spirit. To use it, you will need a minimum Mind attribute of 21.

So there you have it. This is all you need to do to summon Lhutel the Headless Spirit in Elden Ring. As you can see, doing so is not too difficult. On your quest to acquire these Ashes, you will only need to battle a few skeletons and the Cemetery Shade boss. Defeating the latter should be simple, as long as you remember to follow the steps in this guide.
