Hunters are a foe in the game which can feel tougher than some bosses at times. They will test your skills, as they have quite strong armors which won’t be fazed even with your best weapons. How to Kill Hunters in Halo Infinite
We’ll break this guide into two parts. Hunters’ weaknesses and attacking strategy.
Weaknesses
- Back: The best area to target when fighting them is their flesh which is orange in color. You can try to get to the back of the Hunters to break their armor. Once destroyed their weak points will be revealed and this is where you should target most of the time.
- Sides: While not as weak as the back, if you can aim for the openings at the sides of the Hunters, that too can deal quite a lot of damage.
- Glowing tubes: You can also aim for the glowing tubes on them to deal them some decent damage.
Attacking Strategy
- Use your Grappleshot or Thruster to create distance between you and them and try getting behind them. Once you get behind them, deal as much damage as possible.
- Get the high ground, Hunters can jump but can’t climb. You can use this mechanism to your advantage.
- Survey the area where you fight before completely engaging. This will let you know all the spots that you can use for cover and where the weapons are.
- The best weapons for this fight are Skewer, Shock Rifles, and Bulldog. Prefer using these over the other weapons when fighting the Hunters.
- And one last tip which might feel a bit odd is to try taking them both out at the same time. When you kill the first Hunter the second one gets enraged making it stronger and faster, and as such it gets more aggressive. If you try to deal equal damage to them both, taking them out might get slightly easier. But it comes down to your playstyle, only try this trick if you feel that you are able to handle them both together.
