How to make Bait in Stardew Valley

Bait is an important item that is used while fishing. Using a bait increases your chances of catching different fish. The bamboo fishing pole, which is the level 1 fishing pole doesn’t use bait. This feature of attaching bait to the pole is only available after reaching level 2 in fishing.

Once you level up you will receive a message indicating the same. You can now visit Will’s shop by the beach and purchase a fiberglass fishing pole. At Will’s shop, you can even purchase bait for a cheap price. However, once you reach fishing level 2 you can even craft your own bait.

To use the bait, go to your inventory and click on it. Pick it up and go to your fishing pole and right-click on that. For an Xbox controller, you select it with ‘A’ and equip it to the fishing pole with ‘X’. You can remove the bait by right-clicking or pressing ‘X’ a second time.

You can attach a whole stack of bait to your pole so that you don’t have to keep adding it every single time. Even if you do not catch a fish you will use up your bait.

This was all you had to know about how to use a bait, but, before that learn how to fish or how to find prismatic slime in Stardew Valley.
