Stardew Valley is a role-playing simulator game that unfolds in Pelican Town in Stardew Valley. The game is filled with fun activities the player can undertake aside from the main task to tend to the farm. It is a very wholesome game and allows players to involve themselves in various quests that see them undertake different tasks as they progress through the game. One such activity is fishing. Fishing is considered a hard task by many players as there aren’t many in-game hints or tips to help them through. Making the use of bait while fishing is actually helpful as it allows for fishes to be caught more easily. This guide will tell you all you need to know about baits and how to use them.
How to use Bait in Stardew Valley?
Bait is an important item that is used while fishing. Using a bait increases your chances of catching different fish. The bamboo fishing pole, which is the level 1 fishing pole doesn’t use bait. This feature of attaching bait to the pole is only available after reaching level 2 in fishing.
Once you level up you will receive a message indicating the same. You can now visit Will’s shop by the beach and purchase a fiberglass fishing pole. At Will’s shop, you can even purchase bait for a cheap price. However, once you reach fishing level 2 you can even craft your own bait.
To use the bait, go to your inventory and click on it. Pick it up and go to your fishing pole and right-click on that. For an Xbox controller, you select it with ‘A’ and equip it to the fishing pole with ‘X’. You can remove the bait by right-clicking or pressing ‘X’ a second time.
You can attach a whole stack of bait to your pole so that you don’t have to keep adding it every single time. Even if you do not catch a fish you will use up your bait.
This was all you had to know about how to use a bait, but, before that learn how to fish or how to find prismatic slime in Stardew Valley.
