Final Fantasy 7 Remake packs a punch, the game is designed in such a way that you will spend most of your time battling bosses which can be overwhelming, luckily as you would have it if you are a fan of the original Final Fantasy 7, the remake has the classic difficulty mode that lets you relive the action of the original game.
But before you jump into the classic mode, there are a few things that you should know, it makes the game easy. Newer generation of technology has enabled Square Enix to implement modes that can challenge even veteran gamers but if you like to revert back to classic mode, this guide will show you exactly how to do that.
How To Switch To Classic Mode In Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Right off the bat, you can select the classic mode difficult when starting the game, doing this will take away movement and striking options from you and will have you use abilities only. This was the original design but the gaming industry has developed a lot since then.
If you selected any other difficulty and it isn’t what you want to experience or if you do not like the modern version of combat you can always switch it back in the middle of the game too.
To change the difficulty to Classic Mode, you will have to pause the game, and enter the System and then Gameplay options, once there you will be able to switch your difficulty to Classic Mode.
Though this difficulty is fun too, but, it takes away the great challenges of the game and you are left with easy targets that you can take down easily.
If at all you want to change it back to another mode to try again, you will need to follow the steps mentioned above and this will let you change the difficulty at any time in the game.
The developers at Square Enix have paid a lot of attention to this detail and having the option to switch difficulty modes to experience them all is amazing. Make sure that you check out our guide on difficulty modes explained in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
