How To Save In Genshin Impact & Is There Cross-Save?

Updated Date :

Genshin Impact has finally released. This open world fantasy action RPG is causing waves in the gaming world due to various reasons. If you are playing this game and want to know how to save your progress, look no further. This guide on how to save in Genshin Impact will explain it to you.

Does Genshin Impact have Auto Save and Manual Save?

Luckily, there is an auto-save feature in Genshin Impact, as it is in most games releasing these days. So, you don’t have to worry about losing your progress. But can you save your game manually? Well, no. Unfortunately, you cannot save from the main menu and load the game the next time.

How it works is that the autosave version will start the game where you last left off. Make sure to remember your login details because that is how you will get your autosave whenever and wherever you want. All you have to do is sign off when you are done and log in when you are ready to play next time.

Also, players have found that there are save points in places like Temples. You can end the game at the save point inside the Temple if you want to start again right there.

Can you Cross Save in Genshin Impact?

Yes, there is cross save support for PC and mobile (Android and iOS), but it is not available on PS4. Since PS4 saves are related to PSN, you cannot transfer your save data from there as of now. For users of Nintendo Switch, it is not confirmed if there will be support for this. We will keep you updated in case anything is revealed.

So, for those using PC and mobile, you have to do the following steps to cross save in Genshin Impact.

  • Log in to the miHoYo account you have made. This account will connect your devices and the game progress.
  • That is it, once you log in, you can play from where you left off across devices.

That is everything there is to know about how to save your progress in Genshin Impact and all about manual saving and cross-saves. Don’t miss our other guides that will give you some essential tips and tricks to get better at this game.
