Spillgate 2 is an upcoming free-to-play shooter game, the release window is scheduled for 2025. Before that, you can try out this game through Playtest Beta. The game features a 4v4 player match set up in a futuristic environment, where players can dodge through portals for a surprise attack. They can use impressive weapons, and power-ups to get an edge among others. It is an interesting game to test out. Here are details on how to play Spillgate 2 beta.
Unlock Spillgate 2 PlayTest
Spillgate 2 is a free-to-play game, so you don’t need to purchase to get access to the PlayTest edition. Go to the Steam page and click Request Access to play. You will have to wait for the developer’s response. Playtest will be reserved for limited players, and there is no assurance that you will receive a fixed spot.
The Spillgate 2 playtest is expected to be available between August 21 to August 25. The game will be playable at Gamescom for five days. The Alpha edition will be restricted to some players depending on the server load. The developers have assured they will try their best to provide a similar experience to all registered users. During the Spillgate 2 Alpha test, you will be able to try out the following game features.
- Hotzone & Team Deathmatch – Game Modes.
- Aeros, Meridian, and Sabrask – All three factions unlocked with their faction-specific abilities.
- Six base character skins, two each.
- Ozone, Zenith, and Frontier – 3 Arena Maps.
- 3 Primary Weapons & 1 Secondary Weapon per faction with weapon attachments.
- RedKard Anti-Cheat.
- Friends List & Voice Chat.
Players will need a PC and Steam account to try out Alpha. They can also use PC/Steam-compatible controllers in place of a keyboard/mouse. Here are Spillgate 2 system configurations.

Spillgate 2 will be released on PC, PS and Xbox. There is no news on whether the game will support cross-platform gaming. Many free-to-play games lack this feature limiting players from different gaming platforms to compete with each other.
