If you are bored of being the ‘player’ in Shrimp Game, you can switch things up a little by playing as the Guard. However, there are two ways to become a guard — one is permanent and one is temporary. Here’s everything you need to know about the process.
How to Play as a Guard in Shrimp Game
If you wish to play as a Guard at any time you want, without relying on in-game cash, you need to purchase it by spending Robux. This is a platform-wide virtual currency that can be bought with real money, and it costs 849 Robux to unlock the Permanent Guard feature.
Go to the Shop area in the lobby and click on the Products tab. Then, click on Permanent Guard and purchase it from there, or add Robux to your account.
In case you don’t want to spend real money yet, you can keep playing and potentially winning Shrimp Game as a player and earn a lot of in-game currency. That’s because the other method requires you to spend 2.5M₩ to unlock a single use of playing as a Guard. Click on the Guard icon on the right side of the screen and select the option from the window that appears.
When you play as a Guard, you also get the Guard outfit, gun, total immunity, infinite push uses and you can eliminate players if they fail as well as protect the frontman while playing.
