Roblox Grow a Garden has added a major update involving cute little pets that you can have in your designated area. This is the Animal update, and if you’re curious to know how to get pets like Dogs, Panda, Rabbit and more, here’s a quick guide.
How to Get Animals or Pets in Grow a Garden
- To get animals to walk around your garden, first, you need an egg.
- Walk over to the Gear shop and to the left, you will see the NPC selling eggs.
- There is a timer above him that shows when new pet eggs will appear, and you get 3 options each time.
- The price of a Common Egg is 50,000¢ so if you’re short of cash, make sure to sell fruits of high value crops like Bamboo, Dragon Fruit, Durian and more to collect cash. Get all 3 eggs and go back to your garden.
- Find a plot of land and drop the egg there. It will start the process of growing and once the timer is up, you can press and hold E to hatch it. You can also speed up this process by spending some Robux.
- When the egg hatches, you can get a random pet from the options previously shown to your while you were purchasing the egg. For instance, a Common Egg has a 33.33% chance to spawn a Golden Lab, Dog or a Bunny.

- Common Egg: 99% of shops
- Uncommon Egg: 53% of shops
- Rare Egg: 21% of shops
- Legendary Egg: 9% of shops
- Bug Egg: 3% of shops
Things to know about the pets:
There are a whopping 20+ unique pets available right away! The animal eggs restock every 4 hours.
Each pet offers a unique passive to help improve your garden. Pets come in different sizes and more! Feed to maintain your pets, age them up, and equip up to 3 at a time.
A full pet’s hunger bar drops over 12 hours so make sure to keep an eye on that. Moreover, your pets will age as long as their hunger bar stays full.

Can you Sell Pet Animals in Grow a Garden?
Yes, you can. If you have many pets in your inventory but only need 3 high-level ones, you can sell the ones you don’t want for some extra cash. To sell, you don’t need to go to the shop where you sell crops. Instead, go back to the Pet salesman (who sold you the eggs), choose the option of “I want to sell this animal” and you will get in-game currency instantly.
