Where to Find Obsidian in Valheim?
Obsidian is a rare resource that is only found in the Mountain Biome. Obsidian is actually pretty difficult to spot as they are usually in small groups and not part of a huge rock structure like the copper ores. You have to be on the lookout for small, sharp, igneous rocks that at times have some glitter effect over them. These rocks are black in color and thus help a bit as they stand out against the white backdrop of the mountains.
Luckily these rocks are usually strewn around in groups of 3-4 rocks at a time. The game has a procedurally developed map and therefore we can’t tell you a fixed location where the Obsidian can be found. So go ahead and explore and you will find it.
Obsidian can also be used to craft Frost arrows and Obsidian arrows which are among the most powerful weapons in the game.
How to make Frost Arrows with Obsidian?
Obsidian is necessary for constructing high-end weapons. It is an important part of crafting Frost Arrows and Obsidian arrows. For both arrows, you need to upgrade your workbench to level 3. For Obsidian arrows combine 8 pieces of wood, 4 pieces of Obsidian, and 2 pieces of Feathers. For Frost arrows, you will require 8 pieces of wood, 4 pieces of Obsidian, 2 pieces of Feathers, and 1 piece of Freeze Gland.
You can even find Wolf Armor and Lox Cape in the Mountain Biome. One handy tip is that you should craft the Frost Resistance Potion before you venture into ‘The Mountain’.
