The Frost Moon Totem is an item that helps you activate the Frost Moon event in Fisch, so if you’ve used any similar totem before, you already know how it works. However, this one is located in the Fischmas area of 2025 and here’s how you can obtain it.

How to Obtain Frost Moon Totem in Fisch
The Frost Moon Totem can be found in an Igloo in the Glacial Ridge area. Head to the location and walk toward the door, it will teleport you inside. You can then buy it for 5000 Bells, which is an event currency.
How to Get Bells
The cost is high, so you need to farm a lot of Bells beforehand. You can do so by selling event fish to the Merchant NPC of the Northstar Village. Head to the Christmas tree and interact with the Merchant next to it – choose the option to “Sell my Fischmas inventory” and you will see how many Bells you can earn from doing this. You can also earn them by completing quests because you get a higher amount by doing so. Lastly, opening Presents can also give you Bells if you’re lucky.
The Frost Moon is exclusive to Fischmas 2025 and you need it because during this event, there’s a 1/150 chance to catch an Essence of Starfrost, which is required to open the Cryoshock Cellar.
The frozen levers located around the Winter Village will thaw after using the totem and after every lever has been activated, players can place the items (Essence of Winter, Essence of Starfrost, and an Everfrost Key) to access the Cryoshock Cellar, which is secured inside a safe at coordinates X: -7796.2, Y: 172.7, Z: 17811.5.

When a Frost Moon occurs, special Fischmas 2025 mutations become obtainable. This includes Permafrost, the highest-value Fischmas mutation, which applies a 10x multiplier.
