Players have heard whispers of a Cooked Owl pet being added to Grow a Garden and luckily, this is true! The developers have shared that they’re adding a brand new pet that everyone can obtain if they do this one simple thing. Yup, no Sheckles or Robux involved. Here’s all you need to know about it.
How to Get Cooked Owl Pet in Grow a Garden
To obtain the Cooked Owl pet, players must be online and in-game during the next update. The timing matters so make sure you’re in Grow a Garden at least 30 minutes before the update called ‘Working Bee’, which is being added on June 14, 2025. The exact time will be shown on the game’s store page, so click on the Interested button to get notified. Like most updates, the developers write messages to players in-game, and just by being there, you will receive the Cooked Owl pet for free.
If you played during the previous update, you’ll notice that a Cooked Owl cosmetic was already given to players; however, this one is an actual pet and not just an accessory for your garden, which is great.

In the upcoming update, the bee event gets an upgrade. The Bizzy Bear has set up a brand new crafting station where you can use materials and create the rewards you want and more. The Working Bee event also helps you unlock new seeds, pets, features, etc. so if you’re a dedicated player of this game, you won’t want to miss this!
The passive ability of the Cooked Owl pet is not yet known, but if the previous Owls are anything to go by, we can assume that it will be related to XP boost. The base Owl is known to boost all the active pets XP by around 0.20 XP per second, whereas the Night Owl helps pets gain <0.23 XP per second. There’s also a Blood Owl, which provides <0.50 XP per second.
Aside from being a useful addition, it is going to be a rare pet in your inventory just like the Chicken Zombie, so you can decide to keep it, give it away to a friend, or sell it for Sheckles.
