In survival games like Once Human, knowing how to fast travel and teleport from one location to another is crucial. While you can use your motorcycle to navigate instead of walking, sometimes the map is too big to ride a bike from one point to another. For this, you need Teleportation Towers which are present across all areas. Here’s how you can activate them and quickly travel from one part of the map to another without wasting any time.
Note that you can teleport back to your territory from anywhere on the main map, however, this has a cooldown.
How to Teleport in Once Human
Fast travel won’t be unlocked from the get-go. Keep progressing the story missions (it may take some time) until you talk to Mary and she speaks about Teleportation towers. You have to activate them after which you can teleport between any two activated Teleportation Towers.
- Look for tall structures with a bright blue light rising from the top. These are Teleportation Towers and you can find them in a neutral Stronghold or the wilderness.
- Approach a Teleportation Tower and hold down the F button to activate it.
- Open your map.
- Find the Teleportation Tower (or your base) you want to travel to.
- Select your preferred location by clicking on it.
- Confirm your travel by pressing F on your PC or the corresponding button on your controller.
- You can only teleport from one fast travel point (including your base and campsites) to another.
- Fast traveling long distances consumes more Energy, a resource you’ll need to manage.
- Traveling back to your base from anywhere has a 10-minute cooldown.
- Towns usually have multiple Teleportation Towers, so it’s more convenient to move around.
It’s important to create a habit of activating Teleportation Towers as you explore the map. This will make future fast travel much easier. Since traveling long distances costs more Energy, consider using a motorcycle for short to medium distances.
