How To Fast Travel In Ghost Of Tsushima?

Published Date :

While you can choose to use your horse to travel to different locations, the ability to fast travel can come in handy in the open world. But how to do it? Well, there is something you need to unlock. We will explain exactly how to fast travel in Ghost of Tsushima.

How to Unlock Fast Travel in Ghost Of Tsushima

The availability of fast travel is only for those locations that you have already discovered. There are some locations where there will be enemies, so you have to beat them first to get the area in your fast travels. Kill off enemies and capture the location for yourself.

All you have to do is open the map using the Options button. Use the left stick to point to the location where you want to fast travel and then press Triangle on the controller. You will see a loading screen which will then transition to the location you want to visit. This feature is free and will not use up anything that you own. Moreover, you don’t have to reach any particular object on the map to fast travel.

This format of fast traveling adds to the overall immersion of the game because Ghost of Tsushima has added a lot of elements that give you a sense of realism. For example, you have to a perform a certain action to get Jin Sakai to wipe the blood off his sword and sheath it. These little details have managed to give players a feeling of being inside an epic Samurai movie.

In case you are surrounded by enemies or even near them, you will not be able to fast travel. At those moments, you have to either defeat them all or run from the situation as best you can. There will be some situations where fast travel will not be allowed, like when you are travelling with someone else or if you are in the middle of a current objective.

Fast Travel in the Open World

This mechanic is beneficial when you don’t want to spend a lot of your time traveling from one end of the map to another. But note that sometimes you should consider traveling on your horse. That is because you might just get some useful items on the way. Plus, the scenery is gorgeous so you don’t want to miss out on that.

That’s everything you need to do to fast travel in Ghost of Tsushima. Be sure to read all our other Ghost of Tsushima guides on GamerTweak.
