Tips To Change Game Modes in Minecraft

This completely depends on what platform you are playing the game, as the game is available for PC as well as consoles.

Players can choose between three game mode, all three having a different gameplay style associated with it.

  • Survival
  • Creative
  • Adventure

Survival, as the name suggests will pit you against all sorts of elements in the game, you will also have to go against other players and battle hunger to survive.

Creative lets you run your imagination wild and build the most intricate designs in the game without having to worry about external factors that might destroy it.

Adventure is sort of like Survival mode but in this mode, you will have to use tools and commands to break and or place them.

How to Change Game Modes for consoles in Minecraft 1.14

For console players, to change game modes you will have to open either one of your own world or friends. There will be a prompt for you to select which game mode you would like to select and you can choose either of the three.

If you would live to change the game mode you currently as in, simply press the chat button and enter /gamemode 0 to change to Survival mode, /gamemode 1 to change to Creative, and /gamemode 2 to change the mode to Adventure.

You will need to have cheats enabled for this to work in Minecraft 1.14.

How to Change Game Modes for PC in Minecraft 1.14

You will have to follow the same procedure where you will need to select a world either belonging to you or your friend.

To switch from one game mode to the other simply press T to bring up the chat menu and enter /gamemode 0 to change to Survival mode, /gamemode 1 to change to Creative, /gamemode 2 to change to Adventure, and this is a new one /gamemode 3 lets you change to Spectator mode where you can simply be the audience and watch your friends.
