Fisch had a massive update called Mariana’s Veil and this time, players get access to a Submarine in the game but only after building it from scratch. Here’s how you can assemble and construct the Submarine by getting all the required parts. Plus, there are two upgrades you can do for it to withstand the Heat and Icy temperatures and this guide includes the resources you need for that as well.
How to Get the Submarine in Fisch
To build a Submarine, you require 5 resources: Windows, Submarine Top, Side Fins, Metal Panels, and Back Fins.
If you haven’t done this already, talk to Dr. Glimmerfin at Roslit Bay (-1313, 132 323) and he will give you a Drill. Then go to the area behind him and you will see some Obsidian rocks with purple cracks.
You can drill them for parts by left-clicking on them and you have a 5% chance of obtaining any of the required Submarine parts. Sometimes, you may not get any drop, so keep drilling the rocks and eventually, you should have all the resources to build the Submarine in Fisch.
After that, go back to the silhouette of the Sub and interact with it (press and hold E) to place the parts. Lastly, click on Spawn Submarine after talking to Dr. Glimmerfin.
This is unskippable if you want to explore the Mariana’s Veil because you will not just need to use it, but also upgrade it to dive further deep. With the Sub built, you need to go down the hole in Roslit Bay and get to the next layer. It may be a bit confusing the follow the path and you should find yourself in Volcanic Vents.
How to Upgrade the Submarine in Fisch
Heat Upgrade
The first upgrade is related to Heat which converts your Sub to a fiery orange color. This will let you access the Volcanic Vents region (the first layer of Mariana’s Veil) and you require: Lava Crystal, Inferno Hide, Blisterback Blenny, and Infernal Iguanafish for it. Once you get them, you obtain the Heat Upgrade as well as the Glimmerfin Suit Lvl 1.
All except one of the requirements can be fished in the Volcanic Vents area and it can be dangerous since you can get burned by the lava. So, talk to the Innkeeper and pay the small fee to respawn here in case your character ends up dying.
Next, collect the Lava Crystal by drilling the bright orange crystals and you will get it after a few tries.
You can fish for Infernal Inguanafish, Inferno Hide and Blisterback Blenny by using any fishing rod you have. However, Inferno Hide is a Common fish and requires the Garbage bait to be caught.
The Garbage bait is best for Inferno Hide, Fish Head for Blisterback Blenny during Summer, Day, Clear weather, and Insect for Infernal Iguanafish which prefers a Windy Night. The fishing spot is near the altar and you will need to use your Glider to move forward and reach the spot with glowing lava.
After getting all the resources, go to the Altar and unlock the Heat upgrade for your Submarine in Fisch.
Ice Upgrade
Challenger’s Deep is the second layer of Mariana’s Veil and to get the Ice Upgrade, you require Ice Crystal, Cryoskin, and Polar Prowler. Ice Crystals can be obtained by drilling the Ice Obsidian, Cryoskin can be fished in the Challenger’s Deep, and Legendary Polar Prowler can be fished from the same location with a fishing rod with high luck. You also require the Glimmerfin Suit Lvl 1 which can be obtained by completing the Volcanic Vents quest.
When you bring all the resources, you will obtain the Ice Upgrade for the Submarine and the Glimmderfin Suit Lvl 2.
