Can Traits Be Removed From Gear In Hogwarts Legacy? (Answered)

Published Date :

There are several different gears in Hogwarts Legacy ranging from Superb, Extraordinary, or Legendary gear. Most of these gear pieces come equipped with traits. Traits allow you to add certain perks and bonuses to your gear. But what if you don’t want them anymore? This guide will show you if you can remove Traits from your gear in Hogwarts Legacy.

Can You Remove Traits from Gear in Hogwarts Legacy?

Unfortunately, Traits cannot be removed from gear in Hogwarts Legacy once you add them. There is no option to remove them from the gear settings. In simple words, the trait slot cannot be empty for any piece of gear. All that you can do is replace the particular trait with another trait of your own choice.

Hence, be absolutely sure before you go ahead to select a trait on your gear as you won’t be able to remove it later on. If you haven’t discovered the trait yet, it makes sense to remove it once you have found its recipe. In this way, you can use the resources needed to craft that specific trait.

How to Unlock & Equip Traits

Traits can be unlocked by completing combat objectives and looting Collection chests which are dispersed around the open-world of Hogwarts Legacy. Another way to get traits is by clearing the Bandit camps around the map. You can also craft traits at the Enchanted Loom in the Room of Requirements. However, you will need to complete the Elf, The Nab-Sack, and the Loom main quest to unlock the Enchanted Loom.

Every Trait comes in three different Tiers, with the third tier being the most powerful. Here are the three tiers and the crafting resources that you will need:

  • Tier I: 1x Puffskein Fur
  • Tier II: 1x Diricawl Feather
  • Tier III: 1x Kneazle Fur

That’s everything answered on whether you can remove traits from your gear in Hogwarts Legacy. We hope we managed to solve your doubts. If you liked this guide, check out how to sell gear and how to add gear slots in our Hogwarts Legacy section.
