Unfortunately, you won’t be able to equip the DLC armor in Dead Space during the initial stages of the game. You will have to progress through the story a bit, here’s when and how to do it.

  • While on “Get to the Medical Deck” objective of Chapter 1, head to the Tram Station.
  • Now, interact with the store and go to “Storage”.
  • Select your desired suit out of the lot and press “Equip”.

You have now successfully changed suits in Dead Space Remake. Also, you will need to note that all these suits are merely for cosmetic purposes. They don’t provide a boost to your character’s stats whatsoever. However, if you wish to upgrade your RIG, then here’s how to do it:

How to Upgrade your RIG and change suits in Dead Space

You will need an item called Nodes in order to upgrade your suits. You can increase your Health, Oxygen, Stasis and other stats by upgrading your RIG. Once you upgrade your suit, it will be applied to all your skins. The upgraded RIG will reflect on all your costumes. You can find Nodes across the ship or simply purchase them from the Store for 10,000 Credits. All you need to do is bring them to a Bench to start the upgrade.

Changing your suits in Dead Space is also pretty easy. Just head to any Store aboard the USG Ishimura if you wish to change your look again. These stores can be accessed throughout the story thereby giving you a chance to try all of your Deluxe suits one by one.
