Dead Space Remake is full of gross and terrifying bosses that can frustrate you to no end. The Leviathan too falls under the same category. Many who have played the original Dead Space will be reminded of how gruelling this particular fight was. However, we plan on making things a little easier. Dead Space Remake Leviathan Boss Fight Guide
You will first encounter Leviathan during chapter six – Environmental Hazard in the Food storage area at Hydroponics. In this room, you will have to use zero gravity while also scouring for resources in the form of ammo and explosive canisters as well. Just like other boss fights, this one too will be divided into three phases. To initiate the fight, simply head closer towards the bottom. This will wake up the giant necromorph boss – Leviathan.
Phase 1
In phase 1 one of the fight, the Leviathan will throw its tentacles to attack you. You need to dodge these attacks by strafing to the other side. As soon as you dodge it, use your gun to attack the glowing sacs on the Leviathan’s limbs. The best weapons you can use here are either the Plasma Cutter or Canon Beam. Rinse and repeat until you destroy those ugly yellow sacs. You will now enter phase 2 of this boss fight.
Phase 2
In the second phase, the boss will spew out explosive projectiles at you. If you want to beat the Leviathan in Dead Space Remake, you must remember to target its mouth as much as you can. This phase is fairly simple as you will just have to direct back the projectiles at the Leviathan’s mouth. You can do this by using your Kinesis powers. Just keep repeating the same method and you will activate phase 3. Alternatively, if you can’t catch the projectiles, simply hold the explosive canisters and launch them towards the Leviathan’s mouth.
Phase 3
The final phase is no doubt the most difficult as Leviathan will regenerate his tentacles and also release a toxic cloud in the area. Now, it will use both of its attacks at the same time. Don’t make the mistake of going for the tentacles first as you won’t have enough time to take Leviathan down. Since your oxygen levels would be dropping fast, aim for the mouth first. Either use your Kinesis powers or throw the explosive canisters that are floating nearby. Don’t forget to dodge these attacks as it is equally important. Keep repeating this until you eject the Leviathan into space.
