In Grow a Garden, the Honey-Glazed Mutation is a newly added event-based plant transformation that gives your crops a unique look and makes them more valuable. If you’re diving into the new update and want to know all about this variant, as well as the roles of the Honey Sprinkler and Bear Bee, this guide has all the information you need.
How to Get the Honey Glazed Mutation in Grow a Garden
The Honey-Glazed Mutation is a rare transformation that adds a honey-like effect to your plants as if they’re being coated in the liquid. This is part of the Bizzy Bee update that runs till the 7th of June 2025. Here’s what happens during the Swarm event as part of it: Bees will appear out of a hive to pollinate the crops in your garden, and if you’re lucky, some of the fruits will get the Pollinated mutation.
This boosts the crop’s value by x3 and the crop itself will turn yellow with a shine and some yellow steam coming out from it. However, if you want the Honey Glazed mutation in Grow a Garden, you need a Honey Sprinkler or a Bear Bee.
How to Get the Honey Sprinkler and what does it do?
Once at least 10kg of your crops are ‘Pollinated’, you can exchange them for Honey at the ‘Honey Combpressor’ located at the center of the map. After 3 minutes, you will receive 10 Honey, which is the currency you need to purchase the Honey Sprinkler from the Queen Bee. Talk to her and choose the option to “trade honey” and you will see her shop.
The Honey Sprinkler can be bought for 30 Honey if it’s in stock (it’s of the Divine tier), or you can spend 199 Robux to get it any time you want.
Use the Honey Sprinkler on an area of multi-harvest crops that you want to be mutated with the Honey Glazed mutation, and wait until the fruits get affected. Note that the sprinkler works for only 1 minute, so you will see the results quickly.
How to Get the Bear Bee
This event also introduced the Bee Egg which gives you a chance to obtain the Mythical pet called Bear Bee. It has a 5% hatch chance and its passive lets it turn a crop Honey Glazed every 25 minutes. You can obtain the Bear Egg for 18 Honey from the Queen Bee’s shop or you can spend 129 Robux on it. The hatch time for it is 4 hours and 10 minutes due to its Mythical rarity.
These were the two methods to get the Honey Glazed mutation in Grow a Garden. The transformed fruit will get a x5 boosted value, which isn’t a lot compared to Shocked (x100), Celestial (x120), Disco (x125) or Voidtouched (x135,) but it’s worth having because it’s a limited event-based mutation similar to Choc from the Easter update.
