Wondering how to use Great Weapon Master in Baldur’s Gate 3 and deal extensive bonus damages to your enemies? It is one of the Feats that players will unlock after leveling up their character class to level 4 in the game. This is one of the most versatile and powerful feats you can choose instead of any ability improvements. The Great Weapon Master feat grants you a bonus attack after landing a critical hit or killing your enemy with a melee weapon in BG3. And as the game progresses, players can always rely on the extra damage dealt by the attack. Although with so many attacks, spells, etc it can be tricky to figure out how the feat works. So to make things easy for you, here is how you can use the feat to gain the bonus attack in-game.
How to Turn On Great Weapon Master in Baldur’s Gate 3
To use the Great Weapon Master in Baldur’s Gate 3, players will have to toggle it on by clicking on it from the list of your Passives. It is worth keeping in mind that all the classes can unlock and use the feat in the game. Once you toggle it, you will have to either land a critical hit on the enemies or kill them to get the Bonus Attack in BG3. Although this can only be done through Melee Weapons. After landing the blow, the Bonus Attack will automatically get activated in the Passives column. Amid combat, players can easily miss out on the Great Weapon User Bonus attack if they don’t have their passive option open in Baldur’s Gate 3.
The bonus attack will allow you to land another melee attack on your enemies. You can click on it from the Passives option and select the enemy you want to land the attack on. Players can deal even more extensive damage of 10 while using heavy Melee Weapons that they are proficient with. Although you will have a penalty of -5 Attack Rolls which basically will decrease the chance of landing that blow in the game. Players can use the Great Weapon Master feat and the subsequent Bonus Attack according to their situation in Baldur’s Gate 3. Players can turn off Great Weapon Master from the Passive option as mentioned earlier.
