Want to unlock the OP Mythical Golden Loong Staff in Black Myth: Wukong? Here’s the unique effect that this weapon provides: It moderately increases the damage dealt by all Pillar Stance moves. A loong can be summoned to execute Thunder at the enemy at Pillar Stance Heavy attacks that cost 3 or 4 Focus Points.
To craft this weapon, you require 1 Mountain-Shaking Claw, 1 Sea-Supporting Tendon, 2 Kun Steel, and 45000 Will. If you don’t have enough, we’ve got a guide that explains how you can farm Will. Then, follow the steps below to get every other material to unlock and craft the Mythical Golden Loong Staff in Black Myth: Wukong.
How to Craft the Mythical Golden Loong Staff
It’s a long process which requires you to beat multiple bosses. Overall, the materials you need are Loong Scales, Thunder Tail, Thunderbone, Refined Iron Sand Mountain-Shaking Claw, Sea-Supporting Tendon, and Kun Steel. You need to first unlock the Epic Loongwreathe Staff after which you can get to unlocking the Golden Loong Staff. Here’s a breakdown of the entire process.
Get Loong Scales
Loong Scales is a key item that will clear waterfall barriers and take you to secret areas which have the four Loongs. There’s a Red Loong, Black Loong, Cyan Loong and finally the Yellow Loong.
To obtain Loong Scales, go to the location where you fought the First Prince of the Flowing Sands in Sandgate Village. Over there, you can use Wandering Wight to break a wall (or make the First Prince headbutt it himself) and access a room with a treasure chest in it. This contains Loong Scales.
How to Get Thunder Tail
Now that you have this key item, visit a Keeper’s Shrine and travel to Black Wind Mountain. Then from Forest of Wolves, spawn at the ‘Outside the Forest’ location. Your goal here is to find a waterfall that you can dispel with your scales. Enter the area and get ready to fight the Red Loong dragon. As drops, you will get Loong Pearl and Thunder Tail.
How to Get Thunderbone and Refined Iron Sand
Similarly, the Black Loong can be found in the Fright Cliff location’s Rockrest Flat area. Look for a sand waterfall, dispel it, and prepare to fight this Yaoguai king. Upon defeat, you will receive a Mind Core, x2 Refined Iron Sand, as well as Thunderbone and Tridacna Pendant.
How to Get Mountain-Shaking Claw
Head to Bitter Lake’s Turtle Island (The New West Shrine in Chapter 3) in your quest to find Cyan Loong. In this case, you won’t have a waterfall to dispel – but you need the Loong Scales to awaken Cyan Loong who is currently in a statue form, fishing on a cliff.
Defeat him and obtain x2 Fine Gold Thread, Mind Core, Loong Pearl, and collect Mountain-Shaking Claw and Breath of Fire from the chest.
How to Get Sea-Supporting Tendon and Kun Steel
Lastly, after you’ve defeated the previous Loongs, it’s time to take on the Yellow Loong. You can head to Webbed Hollow’s Cliff of Oblivion shrine and make your way to the location of Relief of the Fallen Loong. Here, make your way to the Yellow Loong.
When you defeat him, you get Sea-Supporting Tendon, Golden Carp, Kun Steel, Mind Core, and Loong Pearl as drops.
You will need one more Kun Steel and this material can be obtained by defeating The Duskveil, Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master, or Erlang, the Sacred Divinity. The Duskveil secret boss can be found in the secret area called Purple Cloud Mountain, near the Cloudnest Peak Shrine.
This was quite a long journey to unlock the Mythical Golden Loong Staff in Black Myth: Wukong but it’s worth it to equip one of the most powerful weapons in the game. As you can tell, there are many areas you need to reach that can’t be explained accurately in text, so, we recommend you check out this detailed visual guide by ConCon.
