How to Find Gold Slime in Slime Rancher 2
Now the only way to actually find Gold Slimes is by playing the game and hoping you run into one. This is because Gold Slimes, being so rare, don’t have a particular spawn point. You need to be exploring new regions on the map to have the best chance of finding them.
When you’re near a Gold Slime you will hear a sparkling sound cue to alert you of its presence. Now, an important thing to remember while dealing with Gold Slimes is that they are startled and agitated very easily and will attempt to flee from any Rancher from far away. You need to be quick on your feet and be prepared with a sufficient amount of food items loaded to shoot at it. This is because Gold Slimes drop Gold Plorts for every food item it consumes. But this is no easy feat as they despawn quickly after they are agitated and start fleeing. We would recommend stockpiling on Gilded Ginger as Gold Slimes love it and will drop 5 Plorts instantly upon interacting with it.
Can you Catch Gold Slimes?
Another thing to note is that, just like Lucky Slimes, you cannot capture a Gold Slime in your Vacpack or teleport them. They can’t be contained by Corrals or be farmed either. The only way a Gold Slime will stay idle and not despawn is if they are placed in a Slime Stage.
