Learn how to Dig in Going Medieval so that you can build underground structures. You can dig into the ground to build complex structures as well as give your house a basement. Doing so will give you extra storage space as well as save you the hassle of building walls. So, let’s find out how to dig into the ground.

How to Dig in Going Medieval

  • First, look at the bottom right of the screen.
  • Here you will see a small pickaxe icon.
  • Select the area you want to dig out.
  • Now, just choose a specific villager in the game and you will be able to assign the task of digging the selected area.
  • You can do so by interacting with the Schedule tab at the top left of the screen.
  • Now, choose a villager and assign him/her the specific task.
  • In the Jobs tab, you can even change the priority of any given task.
  • Now, just wait and let the settlers do the work.
  • Once they are done digging the ground make sure you add a staircase.
  • If you don’t add a staircase you won’t be able to access the underground area.
  • If you want to add a floor or a roof onto your underground shelter make sure to add support pillars and walls.

Going Medieval: How To Dig

By making a dig underground you can benefit your settlers in Going Medieval. This keeps them out of the heat and makes them happier in general. Also, when you store any items underground they will even last longer and their expiration duration will become longer.

Also, make sure to add provisions for heating and ventilation for the winter season in the game. Once you have got all these factors dialed in you will be good to go.
