Gobbo the Tall is one of those kinds of bosses that you don’t really have to beat to progress in the story. He is one of the Purple Rare Elite boss types.
There is no guarantee of him spawning when you go and look for him. Since it is an RNG type you might have to try a few times before you can battle him.
Nevertheless, since you are looking for him, you can try and find him in Bilefen. Use the portal to Kikuras Rapids Waypoint in the Bilefen and head up towards the road that will lead you to Putrid Marsh.
Defeating Gobbo is not tough, but the constant spawning of troops brings down your health often. The recommended level for battling Gobbo is Level 40. Once you beat Gobbo the Tall, you will receive a huge golden chest filled with loot.
