Glintstone Key is a Key Item in Elden Ring. With it, you can unlock and bypass certain Barriers in the game with ease. There are only two of them and they are tied to a certain Quest. In this guide, I will show how to get a Glintstone Key in Elden Ring.
How to Get the Glintstone Key in Elden Ring
Like I have mentioned above, the Glintstone Key is a Key Item. This Key can unlock the seals that bind both gates to the Academy of Raya Lucaria. As you get to the Gates, the Key will warp you to the Academy. Once you have used it, the Glintstone Key will remember you. That means you cannot pass your Glintstone Key to anyone else. To get it, you will need to either:
- Go to Liurnia of the Lakes. Over there, head directly South from Crystalline Woods site of grace. You should find some Ruins where the Glintstone Dragon Smarag resides. The Glintstone Key is behind the Dragon.
- Go to Raya Lucaria Academy. Over there, the Glintstone Key can be looted from a Corpse that is hanging from a chandelier on the Church of the Cuckoo’s ceiling. To get there, you will need to traverse over the rooftops while dealing with enemies & monsters.
the Second Key can only be available after you have the first one. Once you do get the Second Key, head towards the Church of Irith where you will be able to find Thops. Thops is a Student at the Academy of Raya Lucaria. He wants to get back there and he will request you for that second Glintstone Key. After giving him the Key, you will find his corpse in the eastern section of the Academy. Looting him will give you Thops’s Bell Bearing, Academy Glintstone Staff, and Thops’s Barrier.
