Genshin Impact: How To Obtain Glimmering Essence
There are two ways to get Glimmering Essence in Genshin Impact — One is by completing the ACT II main story quest and the second is finishing ‘Testing Grounds’ events in Dragonspine. They are highlighted on the map with a red and blue icon.
Notably, only a single Testing Grounds can be activated at a time. Once you are done completing it, a new one will appear in a new nearby location. To activate each Testing Grounds, you will have to defeat a certain number of opponents. There are usually three or more enemies that you will need to take down to activate Testing Grounds in Genshin Impact.

Once you are done activating Testing Grounds, open up the chest to get a bunch of Glimmering Essence. It should be noted that you need to repeat the same procedure until you get credit for the ACT II event quest and obtain your free Primogems. The number of Testing Grounds required to get credit for the ACT II event quest is 16.
Doing this will get you 2400 Glimmering Essence that can be used in the Event shop to get another Festering Desire sword. Doing this will complete the Act II event quests in Genshin Impact.
