But a majority of players are confused about the Gimmighoul Coins that are obtained from them. While these coins are a type of collectible, what are they used for? Check out our guide to know everything about the Gimmighoul Coins in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to find out.

What are Gimmighoul Coins in Pokemon Scarlet Violet

As mentioned earlier, Gimmighoul Coins are a type of collectibles that can be found across the Paldea region. These coins are dropped by the Wandering form and Chest form Gimmighoul Pokemon. You can use these coins to evolve your Gimmighoul to Gholdengo Pokemon. But for that, you need to get your hands on 999 Gimmighoul Coins in PSV.

How to Find the Gimmighoul Coins in PSV

You can find the Wandering and Chest forms of Gimmighoul to get the Gimmighoul Coins.

  • Speaking of the Wandering form, you can get the Coins by simply interacting with these Pokemon. Each of the Wandering or Roaming Gimmighoul can reward you with 1 to 10 Gimmighoul Coins.
  • As the name suggests, the Roaming Gimmighoul roam around the Paldea region. So, it can be a bit of a task to get their exact location.
  • Whereas the Chest-form Gimmighoul can be found throughout the open-world in specific locations. But you need to find them throughout the open world.

So, here are all the locations of Chest-form Gimmighoul:

  • As you find a Chest-form Gimmighoul, you need to defeat or catch them to get the Coins.
  • Once they are defeated in a battle, they can reward you with 50-80 Gimmighoul Coins.
  • The drop rate of these coins can differ according to your level. You can also get as high as 777 Coins by defeating the Chest Form. But make a note that the rates are pretty low for that.

The only way to get the Gholdengo Pokemon is through evolving the Gimmighoul Pokemon. So, collect as many Gimmighoul Coins as possible to get to 999.
