Ghostrunner Coming To PS5 & Xbox Series X; Free Upgrades Available

Published Date :

All In! Games, in partnership with 505 Games, announced today that Ghostrunner will boast the free upgrade to next-gen versions on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S starting in 2021.

The action title, developed by the guys from One More Level, 3d Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks, will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC (via Steam, GOG.com, Epic Games Store) and Nintendo Switch on October 27 ( H2 Interactive will handle the distribution of the title in Asia).

For all those who decide to purchase the game in the Xbox One version, Ghostrunner can be upgraded for free to the Xbox Series X|S version thanks to Microsoft’s Smart Delivery technology. On PlayStation 5 it will be enough to launch an update, as soon as the developers make it available.

All players who pre-order the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch versions by October 26 will be eligible for the following bonus content:

  • A special Katana
  • An additional Katana to choose from among those available in the store
  • 20% discount dedicated to PlayStation Plus subscribers
  • 20% discount for PC and Xbox One versions

Ghostrunner, based on the Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine, is set just after a massive cataclysm. A gigantic tower represents the last bastion where humanity can take refuge. In an atmosphere of poverty and extreme violence, players will take on the role of a hero whose job is to get the better of the treacherous ruler of the Tower known as the Keymaster.

The title is heavily focused on the “1 Shot, 1 Kill concept,” allowing you to take down each enemy with a single shot. With definitely intriguing mechanics, which we can’t wait to test firsthand. Ghostrunner is among the most interesting titles expected to be released in the last days of October.
